I Went There

There is a place that you can go where your soul exists along with your emotions. You can see without the use of eyes, you can hear without the use of ears. It is a place where speaking without talking is as possible as putting one foot in front of the other. You need not the use of your nose for you can smell without it. One is able to learn to exist without the five senses that are bred so deeply into our minds. Time exists in a dimension that is unfathomable to most of the six and a half billion humans that call this rock home.
A rock flying in a circle around a very ordinary star in a back water part of a very ordinary galaxy; in what could be a very ordinary universe. This is a place that humans have been going to for a very long time. The earliest cultures took advantage of a select few of their population to experience this place, and teach others of what they learned.

For a long time I have pondered two questions.
Does the brain create consciousness?
Does consciousness use the brain as a vehicle to exist in these dimensions?

At this  moment in human history we are at a great crossroads. We are split, almost as a planet on the view of the two questions I posed above.

In Modern culture; especially western culture (this being 2010) has been working to dismantle the true power of the human soul. They have been replacing this with a push toward a mass retardation of the spirit muscle.
It is a muscle.
It requires practice as a bench press does. It requires practice like a video game. It requires practice like raising a dog, or a cat, or a child.

The modern transportation and communication age has brought us many opportunities learn about cultures from across the globe at a rate that this civilization has never seen before. It is currently being used against us to promote this retardation of half the mind for the benefit of very fre of these six and a half billion people.

In this modern world; especially those that hold the power, are using the knowledge of the raw power of the soul against the will of humanity. They keep ancient knowledge secret in order to ensure that the evolution of human culture does not take place. For it is because life on this planet will never be able to move to a different star system until it is able to work as one.

Humans right now are being dominated by the material, the rational, and the traditional. We need to balance this with the power of the spirit, the soul, and emotions

After hundreds of years of modern study of the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Central and South America has prompted theories that there was a culture that on the whole was spiritually awakened to the likes of which this culture cannot possibly imagine.

All we have left of the Egyptian culture are astronomically aligned structures along with spiritually aligned places of worship. Even though all of these place are covered in pictograms, nobody really knows what they mean.

Due to the general remoteness of the Amazon river basin, along with a  harsh climate, dense vegetation and a deadly selection of wildlife; some of this ancient knowledge has survived the two thousand odd years since this type of knowledge dominated the human landscape.

This religion of south American shamanism is among the oldest that this current culture knows of. It could possibly be the oldest.
The spiritual leaders of this culture or shamans played an integral role in the development of the spiritual side of the tribe as a whole.

One of the rites of passage for all of these shaman was the ayahuasca. It is a specially prepared concoction of tropical vines from central and south American rain forests. It is near extinction in these times, but was once found in Africa.

I have participated in this rite of passage. It is rare that one raised among the general population of western society has the opportunity to partake in such a ritual.

In this particular part of the world at this point in time, our technology has allowed us to synthesize chemicals from an array of different sources, from plants to compounds manufactured from base elements; we are able to push the mind to places that are beyond the body and the material. When the mind is pushed in this manner senses disappear; we are only left with emotions, memories, love, passion, etc.

This is quite a long list of abilities to to have when you truly have no body.
I fully believe that the shamans were in place in ancient society to ensure that the general population (a few hundred people per shaman, maybe less) has the opportunity to learn of the true power of the human spirit or soul. For two thousand years those in power have been trying to suppress this knowledge.

The real questions, how did we get here, why are we here, where are we going are questions we will never be able to answer.

Left and right people are waking up to the fact that their consciousness might perhaps be more powerful than we were all raised to believe. Due to the sheer number of humans on the planet right now, it is impossible to know who is winning the war.

In our life time, we could see the theories of Karl Marx take full hold. Those that know how to live in harmony with the land will survive. Those who cannot let go of the virus like lifestyle of modern western culture will perish.
